Sports develop the physical as well as mental strength of students. daily physical excercise is essential for students because excercise not only helps students to stay healthy but it is also improve their emotional fitness.

Sports should be major part of school curriculum because if students stay emotionally and physically healthy they can easily focus on their studies with this thought in our school weekly sports classes are organised for the students. Different team selection took place which are played in inter school or district level. In our school volleyball, football, kabaddi, kho-kho different types of sports were played. Our school secured many prizes in different sports every year ” Annual Sports meet ” also celebrated in our school , in which students were participated in group wise as well as house wise.

Students have to participate in school sports to increase confidence, mental, alertness and self esteem. Sports are important in school because it helps to teach various skill to students like leadership, patience team effort and social skills.

Importance of sports in schools:

(1) Stay Healthy.

Because of physical activities students helps to avoid unwanted illness. Sports helps students to increase cardio vascular fitness and also increase bone density.

(2) Develop leadership skills.

Sports will boost their leadership qualities and also help them to become good decision maker. being a leader their duty is not just to lead the team but also need to boost and appreciate the team.

(3) Positive mentoring.

During sports activities, every sports person is encouraged by their parents , coaches and support staff for achieving success. This positive mentoring will also help students in other phases of their life.

(4) Boost emotional fitness.

The physical activities help students to refresh their minds and create happiness in them. Sports also help students to stay cheerful and emotionally fit by reducing stress and mental depression.

(5) Develop social life.

Sports also develop the social life of students. It gives chance interact with many people of different ages. It develops confidence among students.

(6) Develop Discipline.

Sports activities establish the qualities of discipline which help in every field of life. The sports activities teach the physical, mental and tactical training to the students.
