Mannathu Padmanabhan was a great Social reformer and founding father of the Nair Service Society. Born on 2 January 1878, he was originally a primary school teacher, who became a lawyer in 1905 and on October 1914 founded what is his most enduring legacy Nair Service Society. (NSS)
Mannam Jayanti was celebrated with great fervour on Sunday, 08/01/2023 at Shri Shankara Senior Secondary School. On this auspicious occasion, the chief guest of the school, General Manager, Head of Legal Department, Mr. K. V. Pillai, Special guest Dr. Jalja Nair and President of the school Advocate Mr. B. Gopa kumar along with members of the entire Nair society was present.
The program started with ‘Bhoomi Pujan’, followed by ‘lighting the lamp’ and a cultural program was organized by Nair Samajam and Shri Shankara Senior Secondary School, after which Senior most respected members of Nair Samajam were felicitated with shawls and shreephal. The meritorious students of Nair Samajam were awarded.
The chief guest and the special guest were honored with momentos and the secretary of the school Mr. Shailesh Nair gave a speech of thanks while addressing the special guests.
Further the delicious delicacies of Kerala were enjoyed while leading the series of the program, finally the program was concluded with Sadya.
